Practice, Practice…
Last summer, I gave wheel throwing a first try. This year, I want to be more committed. I put 5 hours per week in front of the wheels since 2 weeks ago. Then Hong Kong weather got really unfriendly with a No. 10 typhoon and a Black Rain. These were the days all schools and businesses shut down. The people in the service industry, like supermarkets, hospital, and some restaurants were still serving and I am so grateful to these hardworking people who keeps our city running. This week the sun finally came out, and I am restarting my commitment for the next 2 months.
These 3 are some practices I threw. Far from satisfying in terms of form and colour, but I am happy that my hands are not as stiff. My fingers start following orders and I felt one step closer to the clay. There is a strange connection between hands and a material. Thanks to the muscle memories, the touch starts to feel familiar.
